Clean & Green Living

Nov 10, 2020

Today’s interview is with Dr. Annie Fenn. In 2015, Dr. Fenn founded the Brain Health Kitchen, an evidence-based online resource about how and what to eat to resist cognitive decline. The Brain Health Kitchen Cooking School is the only school of its kind focused specifically on fending off Alzheimer’s and other dementias. Students learn which foods are most neuroprotective, which ones accelerate cognitive decline, and how to prepare foods using brain-friendly cooking techniques.

In this episode, Annie and I are talking about the importance of diet to prevent cognitive decline and how it’s not just something older individuals should be thinking about. She is sharing practical information on how you can change your diet and lifestyle to improve your brain health. This episode will provide you with a wealth of information to help you and your family members maintain healthy brain function for years to come.

About Dr. Annie Fenn

After practicing obstetrics and gynecology for more than 20 years, Annie realized that helping people change the way they eat was more effective at improving health than prescribing pills or procedures, so She traded her stethoscope for an apron and went back to school to study culinary arts in Mexico, Italy, and at the Culinary Institute of America.

When not developing recipes, writing, or teaching the Brain Health Kitchen method of cooking, Dr. Fenn enjoys hiking, cycling, skiing, fly-fishing, and foraging for mushrooms and huckleberries with her husband, sons, and dogs Orzo and Olive Oyl in her hometown of Jackson, WY.
