Confidence. It’s a big word, and it’s something that a lot of people lack, especially young girls. Somewhere between the ages of 11 and 14, girls go from believing they can be anything and do anything to struggling with self-doubt, insecurity, and self-criticism. When Jilyne Jarvis reflected on her career as an NCAA and US Ski team athlete, she wished that she had more female mentors to encourage, guide, support and inspire her to have confidence. It was then in coaching young girls that Jilyne saw the true need for confidence-building and mentorship for girls in sports, so she decided to do something about it. The result, ZGirls,  a national program that supports the mental development of girls ages 11-16 by equipping them with the tools and perspective they need to be confident, centered, and courageous.

Regardless of whether or not you are a woman or a girl, the content of this episode is so important. We all deserve to feel confident in ourselves at every age, and ZGirls is doing amazing things to help girls achieve the confidence they all deserve
